Felicita e gioia; a baby is born
You may remember meeting Bella in a previous post about the train journeys, where I described a wonderful journey between Brescia and FFM, which she enjoyed while heavily pregnant. Well, she has had her baby; a beautiful, beautiful boy.
I met him today, finally after a 9 month journey which Bella so graciously allowed me and other friends to be a part of. He is truly beautiful and he looks so like his father.
Welcome to the world, beautiful boy; Benvenuto nel mondo ragazzo bello
Tanti Auguri Bella e il tuo marito
Life is beautiful sometimes; it certainly is today – Che Bello!

Life is beautiful sometimes and ideed today it is!
ReplyDeleteBella, strong and beautiful Bella, delivered a healthy baby boy, not without complications. Her life in danger when giving life to what is most precious to a mother: her baby.
Life has always the grace to shows us its two faces, and even in such moments of anguish and terrible incertitude, one cannot but appreciate the beauty of people, of all kinds of beliefs, come together to put in their prayers, minds, hearts, that one person, a friend, who is going through difficult moments.
All this loving energy put together in such a vehement way, cannot be unnoticed, because it creates such a hurricane of love that makes you tremble to the very center of your being.
Bella is well and getting stronger, she will soon be fully recover and we all wish her and her little family all the best for many years to come.
I met il piccolo bambino yesterday evening, and in his few days of life, he is letting the world know “here I am!” Way to go piccolo bambino!!!
Dear Frida
ReplyDeleteThank you for describing so poignantly the battle Bella had for her life, prepared to make enormous sacrifices for her baby and for motherhood; selfless, moving and beautiful.
I had been a little too distressed about the danger she had been in, and once she had pulled through the worst I focused on the joy of the Piccolo Bambino, as you beautifully called him.
But I didn't do Bella or her bravery, or the beauty that comes through adversity, or the two faces of life, as you put it, justice in my post.
But Frida, you have paid tribute to Bella's courage and the beauty of triumph and survival after adversity succinctly and beautifully. Indeed, the loving energy made us all tremble to the very centres of our being.
Thank you for your beautiful words, and completing my post that didn't quite tell the full story.
Life is beautiful sometimes because of you too Frida
